Respiratory Therapist (RT) – 13‑Week Contract

Location: Reno, NV 89511
Shifts Available: 3x12 Days (7 AM–7 PM) or 3x12 Nights (7 PM–7 AM)
Setting: Subacute / Rehab

Position Overview:

Amergis is seeking skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapists to provide high‑quality respiratory and pulmonary care across a diverse patient population—from pediatrics to adults. This role supports patients with complex respiratory needs, including those requiring ventilator management, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and breathing treatments. You’ll be part of a dynamic clinical team focused on delivering rehabilitation and subacute care to individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other medically complex conditions.

Contract Details:

• Shift Options: Days or Nights
• Hours: 36 hours/week
• Length: 13 weeks

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor ventilator-dependent patients
• Provide tracheostomy care and airway management
• Perform suctioning, breathing treatments, and pulmonary interventions
• Deliver therapy services under physician direction
• Document patient care using Point Click Care
• Support both pediatric and adult care teams

Patient Load:

• 8 ventilator patients total
  • 2 Adults
  • 6 Pediatrics
• Ratios:
  • Pediatrics: 1:6 (or 1:12 if a Respiratory Therapist is present)
  • Adults: 1:12

Minimum Requirements:

• Active Nevada RT License
• BLS
• PALS
• 2 years of RT experience required
• CPR (if applicable)
• TB test (PPD, chest X‑ray, or questionnaire per requirement)
• Current Health Certificate (if required by state or contract)
• Meet all federal, state & local regulations
• Must be at least 18 years of age
