Registered Nurse – Job Summary The Registered Nurse performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the State Board of Nursing. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care Continuously evaluate patient health status through ongoing data collection and assessment Provide health teaching and counseling Deliver supportive and restorative therapy and treatment, either: Directly to the patient, or Indirectly through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others Execute delegated medical functions Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans Document care in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines Utilize available resources effectively Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health and adhere to service behavior standards Perform other duties as assigned Additional Expectations May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
