Position: Occupational Therapist
Shift: M-F 9A-5P
Start Date: 3/23/26
Duration: 3months
NBO: 8hrs
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- License(s) Required: Active NYS license
- Exp: At least 1yr experience as a licensed OT preferably in acute inpatient care.
SBH Health System is currently looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist, preferably with Acute Care hospital experience. The primary role of the Occupational Therapist is to direct all aspects of quality patient care, including evaluation, treatment, treatment planning, goal setting, family education and documentation according to organization's guidelines, professional standards, and community needs.
Ideal candidate must possess a license to practice Occupational Therapy in New York State, is able to practice without restrictions, is in good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards, has working knowledge of Medicare and other payer sources, full knowledge of residents' rights, exude professionalism in presentation, able to work on multitasks at the same time. In addition, qualified candidates must have proven success in providing extraordinary care, working as a proactive and contributing part of a dynamic team. Customer service expertise is crucial to ensure patient care is performed with kindness, competence, and compassion.
