Registered Nurse (RN) – Adult Forensics / Intensive Psych

Shift: Nights – 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Hours: 36 or 48 hours guaranteed

🏥 Unit Overview

This is a 14-bed secure Adult Intensive / Forensic psychiatric unit caring for high-acuity adult patients.

Patient population includes:

• Adult forensic psychiatric patients
• Co-occurring disorders (substance use + psychiatric illness)
• Depression
• Bipolar Disorder
• Anxiety Disorders
• Acute stabilization & detox support

RN responsibilities:

• Utilize full nursing process for complex psychiatric care
• Provide clinical supervision of MHWs
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning
• Willing to float to other units
• Must be willing to take charge shifts

❗ Experience Requirements (STRICT)

• Recent Adult Forensics experience within the last 3 months – REQUIRED
• 5 years RN experience – REQUIRED
• Recent inpatient psych experience (LTC not accepted)
• Intensive/Forensic/Behavioral Health experience must be clearly listed on resume
• Must list age groups worked with

First-time travelers will be considered if highly experienced.

📌 Submission Requirements

• Resume with psych experience & age groups listed
• Psych skills checklist (within last year)
• 2 supervisory references (within last 2 years)
• Active Vermont or Compact RN license
• BLS (AHA)
• Driver’s license or address included
• RTO cannot exceed 7 days
• Must outline specific patient populations worked with
• Any scheduling requests must be disclosed at submission
