Description
Radius Rule: Contractors must be outside a 50 mile radius
Shift Requirements: Variable day shifts on General Team
Float Requirements: May be required to float to Aspirus Merrill, Antigo, Medford or Stanley if needed.
On Call/Call-Back: 6-8 nights of weeknight call and 1 -2weekend during the 13 week contract. 30 min response time meaning traveler must be ready and in the OR within that 30 min.
Weekend/Holiday: Weekend for call only. Holiday rotation
Required Certifications: AHA BLS, Graduate of a certified surgical technologist program REQUIRED.
Required Education: Knowledge of surgical standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from a surgical technologist program and four or more years of related experience in the operating room.
Minimum Experience:
* 4+ year experience REQUIRED
* Prior travel REQUIRED
* Trauma level 2 experience REQUIRED
* Scrub required
* DAVINICI ROBOTICS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* Traveler must have their own vehicle and can not rely on Uber/Lyft due to on call responsibilities.
Charting/Equipment: NA
Unit Specific Skillset: Efficient in setting up an operative suite for patients, accountable for going through case carts to ensure all supplies are available, efficient in scrubbing surgical cases in a variety of specialties, turning over rooms for multiple procedures throughout the day. 21 ORs including all specialties. Avg 40-60 cases per day.
Required skills: General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT, strong GI (skilled in as many of these as possible), DAVINCI Robot trained -REQUIRED. they must be strong in other case types and must have extensive experience working in a large volume hospital preferably in a trauma 2 facility. Looking for a flexible candidate with excellent work ethic that is also willing to do downtime tasks, if needed. Willing to help train new hires
