Minimum Requirements (Strict)

• Experience Required: 2 years of LDRP experience
• Charge Experience: Preferred, not required
• First-Time Travelers: Not accepted
• Weekend Requirement: Yes
• Floating Within Hospital: Yes
• Floating to Sister Hospitals: No
• Block Scheduling: Not available
• Locals Accepted: Yes
• Pending License Accepted: Yes – Application must be submitted and received by licensing board

Certifications Required

• BLS
• NRP
• AWHONN (Intermediate)
• Stable*

Required Clinical Skills

Candidates must have strong, independent LDRP experience and be comfortable with:

• NRP (must be able to initiate NRP for low–moderate risk deliveries)
• Starting CPAP and PPV until additional help arrives
• Fetal Monitoring
• Triage experience
• Baby nurse/transition experience
• Newborn transitions
• IV starts
• Circulating C-sections
• Recovery of C-sections

Unit Details

The Women’s Care Center (WCC) manages:

• Low to moderate risk laboring patients
• Antepartum patients
• Postpartum patients and newborns
• In-unit triage (2 triage rooms)
• Medical Screening Exams (MSEs)
• Circulation and recovery of C-sections in OR suite and private rooms

• Maximum 1 week
