Travel Registered Nurse – RNFA (CV Surgery)
Location: Lansing, MI
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days – 4x10s (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Unit: RNFA – Cardiovascular Surgery
 

Compensation Package

• Gross Weekly Pay: $3,246
• Weekly Stipend: $1,246 (tax-free, if eligible)
• W2 Hourly Rate: $50/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as First Assistant in Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular surgeries
• Perform endoscopic saphenous vein harvesting, including skin incision
• Assist with radial artery harvesting
• Support surgeons during advanced cardiovascular procedures
• Participate in weekday and weekend call rotation
• Document care in EPIC (preferred)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical team

• AAA Repair

• Fem-Pop Bypass
• Carotid Endarterectomy*
• Carotid Artery Stenting*
• AV Graft/Fistula Repair*

Thoracic:

• Thoracotomy*
• Lung Resection*
• VATS*
• Laparoscopic Assisted Cases*

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN License (Required – Compact not accepted)
• CRNFA Certification (Required)
• Acute Hospital OR experience required
• 1+ year RNFA experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• EPIC experience preferred

Schedule & Call

• 4x10-hour Day Shifts (0700–1730)
• Call: 1 weekday night (Mon–Thurs) per month
• Weekend Call: 1 in 4 rotation
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• 4–5 OR cases per day
