Shift: 12 hours, nights

ED / Med-Surg RN – Swing Unit Radius Rule: Must live 50+ miles away; cannot have worked perm or PRN at CSH in the last 12 months (no clinical involvement) Unit: 22 beds (ED/Med-Surg Swing combined unit) Ratios: Acute: 1:4 Swing Bed: 1:6 ED: 1:4 Experience Required: 1+ year Med-Surg & ED experience Must have charge experience (may work as Charge) Must titrate drips Common Drips: Routine titratable/set-rate drips Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Equipment: NEBS, O2 (nasal cannula & mask), Vent (ED/transport use), possible CPAP (patient-owned) Telemetry: Yes – RNs read strips (ED nurse) Schedule: 12-hr shifts (7a–7p / 7p–7a) Every other weekend & holiday Flex time required Float to ED; may work charge Support Staff: Charge Nurse; RT available Scrubs: Any color Orientation: Unit-specific (single combined unit)
