What You’ll Do:
As a key member of our medical team, you'll provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a remote telemetry unit. Your responsibilities include interpreting and documenting cardiac rhythms, following department protocols, and ensuring patient comfort and safety during night shifts. This role offers an engaging, team-oriented atmosphere where your expertise makes a difference every shift.
Required Skills:
- Valid NY Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Epic electronic health record (EHR) experience is mandatory
- Ability to interpret and measure cardiac rhythms accurately
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Must pass a 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in med/surg and telemetry settings
- Additional certifications such as BLS, ACLS, or CPI/Welle de-escalation training
- Prior work with adult and geriatric patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- At least 1 year of recent telemetry or med/surg nursing experience
Other Requirements:
- Must hold a valid New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration at the time of submission
- Ability to work night shifts and follow unit-specific protocols
- A professional dress code of scrubs (any color, no designs or cartoons)
- Flexibility to adhere to notification policies for requested time off, with a maximum of 5 days RTO per assignment
