Position Overview

Travel RN – Med Surg / Telemetry

This role is for a Travel Registered Nurse working on a Telemetry / Medical-Surgical unit providing care to adult and geriatric patients.

📚 Pre-Assignment Requirement

• Traveler must self-study telemetry strips before starting.
• A basic dysrhythmia test will be given during the first week of assignment.
• Passing this test is mandatory to continue working on the Tele/Med Surg unit.

🩺 Core Responsibilities

The RN will:

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process:
  • Assessment
  • Planning
  • Intervention
  • Implementation
  • Evaluation
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms (telemetry monitoring)
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families
• Maintain high standards of professional nursing practice

👥 Patient Population

• Adult patients
• Geriatric patients
• Medical/Surgical cases
• Telemetry patients (cardiac monitoring required)

✅ Required Qualifications

• Active RN License
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required
• Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms & dysrhythmia interpretation
• Experience in Med Surg and Telemetry settings
