Description

Job Summary:

Provides occupational therapy services based on physician referral. Evaluates patients, develops treatment plans, and implements therapy programs to improve functional independence. Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide OT services in inpatient and outpatient settings
Reassess and modify treatment plans as needed
Provide patient and caregiver education
Instruct in use of adaptive and assistive equipment
Maintain accurate documentation
Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA)
Participate in weekend/holiday rotation as required
Maintain safe and organized treatment areas

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (minimum)
Current California OT License (or license applicant considered)
NBCOT Certification required
BLS (AHA or equivalent) required
One year acute care or outpatient experience preferred (new grads considered)
Ability to treat pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients

Preferred:

CHT certification
Physical Agent Modalities (PAM)
Advanced Practitioner certification
