Must-Have Skills

• OB/GYN sonographic imaging expertise
• Knowledge of Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) protocols
• Ability to perform routine and complex obstetric ultrasound exams
• Strong patient communication and education skills
• Ability to ensure patient comfort and emotional reassurance during procedures
• High attention to detail in obtaining diagnostic-quality images
• Understanding of pregnancy-related conditions and fetal assessment
• Ability to work under physician and radiologist supervision
• Time management in a clinical setting
• Compliance with imaging standards and clinical protocols

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced OB/GYN sonographic imaging procedures in an MFM clinic setting
• Conduct imaging on both ambulatory and hospitalized patients as ordered by licensed providers
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by Radiologists and MFM Specialists
• Assist in the assessment and diagnosis of pregnancy-related conditions
• Explain procedures clearly to patients and ensure comfort throughout the exam
• Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
• Follow established clinical protocols and safety guidelines
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to support optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain equipment functionality and report issues as needed

Key Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program
• Less than 1 year of experience required
• Certification by ARDMS (OB/GYN or Abdomen) or ARRT (S) required
  • RDMS-OB (OB/GYN)
  • RDMS-AB (Abdomen)
  • ARRT-S (Sonography)
• Fetal Echocardiography (FE) or Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification required within 1 year of hire
