🔹 Smoke-Free Campus
- 100% smoke-free facility
- All drug screens must be negative for nicotine/cotinine
- Positive results only reviewed if traveler has a valid nicotine patch prescription
- No valid reason = contract cancellation

🏥 Unit Overview – LDRP / Family Birthing Center
- 13 beds total (L&D, Recovery, Postpartum combined)
- ~100–105 births per month
- Level 1 birthing center (32+ weeks)
- Twins accepted
- High-risk patients transferred out
- Ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
- Philips EFM system
- No cardiac telemetry
✅ REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
🔥 Must Have:
- Minimum 3 years L&D experience (outside of training)
- Minimum 3 travel assignments
- Comfortable with EPIC charting
- Comfortable circulating in the OR
- Experience with LDRP or Mother/Baby (MBC)
- Resume must clearly reflect LDRP experience
- Straight L&D-only resumes will not be accepted
🌙 Night Shift Requirement
- Scrubbing is REQUIRED for night shift

- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP (current)
- Advanced AWHONN (Advanced Fetal Monitoring)
- STABLE (preferred)
💊 Drips & Skills
- Must titrate drips

- Magnesium

🔄 Floating Requirements
Traveler must be comfortable working in:
- L&D
- Postpartum
- PACU (recovering mothers only)
- Circulating in OR
- Mother/Baby overflow
- Possible sitter assignment if needed
⚠️ No post-op GYN on postpartum side
⚠️ Must be strong and engaged in all areas of LDRP
👩⚕️ Staffing Notes
- Charge RN usually does not take patients
- May have admit/triage/resource nurse
- No nurse aides or surgical techs
- Neonatologist on call (30-minute response)
- OB hospitalist in-house ~85% of the time
Night shift has several newer nurses — traveler must function as a resource.
🗓 Scheduling Details
- 12-hour shifts (7a–7p / 7p–7a)
- Travelers fill schedule gaps
- No block scheduling
- Weekend availability required (possibly every other)
- Holiday rotation expected
- May be placed on call for low census
- Travelers may be canceled per contract terms
