Description

Emergency Psych RN Nights (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

Experience Required:

Minimum 1 year of previous mental health nursing experience (Required)

Role & Responsibilities:

Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process
Develop and update individualized, interdisciplinary care plans
Evaluate patient outcomes and coordinate appropriate resources
Care for patients in the Crisis Psychiatric Unit (ages 5 and up)
Manage patients with psychiatric diagnoses such as:
- Major Depression
- Bipolar Disorder
- Adjustment Disorder
- Psychotic Disorders
Provide care for patients requiring or requesting detoxification
Address psychiatric and potential medical care needs

Education & Certifications:

Associate Degree in Nursing (Required)
Active Maine RN License (Required)
BLS Certification (Required)
CPI Certification (Must be current prior to start)

Skills Required:

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities
Ability to manage stress and make decisions under pressure
Flexibility to provide 24/7 coverage as needed
