Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (LDRP)
Location: Monroe, MI
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights – 3x12s (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
 

Compensation

• Gross Weekly Pay: $2,416
• Weekly Stipend: $1,246
• W2 Hourly Rate: $32.50/hr

Epic experience is required (HARD STOP).
Active Michigan RN license required at time of submission.

Unit & Staffing Highlights

• 17 Rooms / 17 Beds
• 200–300+ births per month
• Staffing Ratios:
  • 1:1 Laboring patients
  • 1:3 Couplet Care
  • 1:3 Mother/Baby
• Level I Nursery & Special Care Nursery (stabilize and transfer)
• Scrubs provided (Green)
• Pyxis medication system
• Floating required as needed

Key Responsibilities

Labor & Delivery

• Manage routine and high-risk labor patients
• Perform sterile vaginal exams
• External & internal fetal monitoring (FSE, IUPC)
• Circulate and recover C-sections
• Assist with vaginal and operative deliveries
• Manage obstetric emergencies (hemorrhage, eclampsia, uterine rupture)

Antepartum & Triage

• NSTs and EFM monitoring
• Triage OB patients
• Manage HELLP, preeclampsia, PROM, preterm labor

Mother/Baby & Postpartum

• Couplet care
• Fundus/lochia/perineum assessments
• Breastfeeding and lactation support
• Postpartum hemorrhage management

Neonatal Care

• APGAR scoring
• Neonatal resuscitation (NRP)
• Thermoregulation & radiant warmers
• NAS and hypoglycemia management
• Discharge education

Medications & IV Therapy

• Magnesium sulfate
• Pitocin (oxytocin)
• Prostaglandins & Terbutaline
• Blood products
• IV start/maintenance & infusion pump management

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN License (in hand)
• Minimum 2 years Labor & Delivery experience
• LDRP experience (Mother/Baby + Level I Nursery)
• Travel experience required (strong first-time travelers considered)
• Epic charting experience required

Required Certifications

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• NRP
• Advanced or Intermediate EFM (preferred)
