Job Title: RN –  (Stroke/Tele Unit)
Location: HMH Ocean University Medical Center
Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | 36 hours/week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (e.g., 2/28, 3/14, etc.)
Holiday Requirement: 3 out of 6 major holidays
On-Call Requirement: None
Float Requirement: Rare; agency staff floats first if needed

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse for our 6 West Stroke/Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality inpatient care to patients in a fast-paced hospital environment while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to stroke and telemetry patients according to hospital policies and standards.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing changes and initiating appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Document all patient care activities in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Assist with patient education and family communication.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Telemetry experience and knowledge
• Proficient in all inpatient hospital care skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in stroke or telemetry units

Working Conditions:

• Night shift schedule with every-other-weekend rotations
• Occasional holiday coverage required
• Rare floating may occur, with agency staff prioritized
