Description

Seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist for a full-time contract assignment. This role follows a 5x8 day schedule (9:00 AM–5:30 PM) and requires alternating weekend coverage. The position offers a supportive team environment and the opportunity to work in a well-established community hospital.

Day 5x8-Hour (09:00 - 17:30)

EMR: Meditech

Experience: 1 Year

Previous Charge Experience: Required

Community Hospital Experience: Required

Patient Ratio Experience Required: 1:15

Certification/License Requirements: BLS, CCC-SLP, MBSImP, and MA State License

The position has the following requirements:
Avg. Daily Census: 15
Beds: 180
Patient Age Group: Adults & Geriatrics
Hours: 9AM to 5:30PM
Scheduling Type: Block

Unit Systems:
Medication Systems: Pyxis
Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
Other Notes: Tiger Text
Provider Support: Interpretation Services, Respiratory Services, Unit Secretary
Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, Infectious Respiratory Disease, Other

Additional Requirements:
*Work Settings: Acute Care, Adult Outpatient
*Adult: Dysphagia
*Dysphasia Management: Bedside Swallow Evaluation, International Dysphagia Diet, Modifying Diet Orders, Thickening Agents
*Patient Safety: Signs & Symptoms of Physical, Sexual, Psychological abuse
*Billing/Documentation: Assessment, Concurrent Therapy: Documentation, Concurrent Therapy: Treatment, Discharge, Evaluation, Plan of Care, Point of Service Documentation, Reassessments
