Job Summary – L&D / Postpartum RN (Mom-Baby)

🚨 Submission & Compliance Rules

Driver’s License required at submittal
- Used to confirm 50-mile radius rule
Radius Rule: Must live 50+ miles away
Candidate cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility under

💅 Important Policy

Artificial nails strictly prohibited
Refusal to remove nails = Immediate contract termination

📝 Orientation Requirement

Pass/Fail exam on Friday of orientation
✅ Open book (all resources provided)
Must score 90% or higher
Failure = Termination

📜 Required Certifications

BLS
NRP

👩‍🍼 Unit Details

Level 1 Maternal Care
Low-risk births
Occasional:
- Magnesium (Mag) patients
- Gestational Diabetes (GDM)

👶 Patient Ratios

1:3 Mom/Baby Couplets
1:1 Labor (mostly, depending on case)

🎯 Experience Requirements

No minimum years required
Must be comfortable with:
- Labor
- Deliveries
- Postpartum
⭐ NICU experience preferred (big plus)

💉 Common Drips

Insulin
Magnesium
Pitocin

🏥 Equipment

Alaris IV Pumps

👩‍⚕️ Unit Structure

Charge nurse on every shift
Charge nurse does take an assignment
Closed unit (No floating)

📅 Scheduling

Weekend requirement: Every 3rd weekend
Block scheduling: Not guaranteed
Flexibility strongly preferred
