Location: Basalt, CO (Main Hospital in Glenwood Springs)

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (03/17/2026 – 06/16/2026)

Shift: 4x10-Hour Days | 40 Hours Per Week

Call: Rotation required (Evenings and Weekends)

Job Summary

Seeking a versatile Perioperative RN for their Surgical Center in Basalt, CO. This is a high-level position requiring a "dual-threat" nurse who is equally comfortable in the Scrub and Circulator roles. You will provide intraoperative care in a stunning mountain setting, supporting a variety of surgical specialties in a community-focused, high-standard environment.

Key Responsibilities

Dual Roles: Transition seamlessly between scrubbing (maintaining sterile field, instrument handling) and circulating (patient advocacy, charting, coordinating the surgical team).
Intraoperative Excellence: Manage the surgical environment for various specialties typical of an ambulatory/surgical center (Ortho, General, ENT, etc.).
Call Coverage: Participate in an evening and weekend call rotation to support emergent surgical needs.
Documentation: Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate perioperative record-keeping.
Collaboration: Partner with surgeons, tech staff, and anesthesiology to ensure optimal patient outcomes and efficient room turnover.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the Operating Room.
Dual Skills: Must have both Scrub and Circulate skills (Skills sheet must be provided with submission).
Licensure: Active Colorado State RN License or a Multi-State Compact License.
Certifications: * BLS (AHA) - Required.
- ACLS (AHA) - Required.
Health Policy: Flu Vaccine is mandatory (No exemptions).

Housing & Radius Rule

Radius Rule: Your permanent address must be at least 75 miles away from Valley View Hospital.
Traveler Housing: Facility offers internal housing options located just half a block from the hospital:
- Studio: $1,790/month
- Small One-Bedroom: $1,980/month
- Amenities: Newly remodeled, fully furnished, Wi-Fi and utilities included, on-site laundry. (No pets).
