Description
Travel Nursing Opportunity – PCU Float RN
Join a high-acuity Progressive Care team in Fort Myers, FL, where your clinical expertise and adaptability will make an immediate impact. This assignment is ideal for an experienced PCU RN who thrives in dynamic environments and is comfortable floating as needed.
Position Details:
Start Date: 3/20/2026
Location: Fort Myers, FL
Schedule: 3x12 Nights
Contract Length: 13.14 Weeks
Shift Requirements: Floating required; travelers are first to float and may float to sister campuses
Key Responsibilities:
Provide intermediate-level care for patients requiring close monitoring and advanced support
Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to cardiac rhythm changes
Manage complex medication regimens and titratable drips as appropriate
Support post-surgical and high-acuity medical patients
Maintain patient ratios of approximately 4–6:1 depending on acuity
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe progression of care
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
Unit Details:
ED Hold / PCU Float role (not floating to ED for assignment)
Adult and geriatric patient population
EMR: Epic
Strong team culture — travelers expected to function as core staff
Requirements & Qualifications:
Active FL RN license or Compact RN license
BLS (AHA)
ACLS (AHA)
NIHSS certification
Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
Degree accreditation required on profile (or 5+ years of experience)
Recent Nursys verification required
Important Notes:
Floating is required — flexibility is essential
All RTO and schedule requests must be submitted at time of submission
Radius rule applies (50 miles from permanent address)
