Position Details

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend rotation / As needed
• Call Requirements: 3 call shifts (12-hour shifts per 4-week schedule)
• Float Requirements: As needed

Unit Profile

• Department: Labor and Delivery
• Number of Openings: 1
• Number of Beds: 2 labor beds, 3 postpartum beds
• Patient Ratios: 1:2
• Patient Population: Maternity women and newborns
• EHR System: Meditech

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• Fetal monitoring experience
• Certifications:

  • ACLS
  • AWHONN
  • BLS
  • NRP
• Must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start date

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS certification
• Experience with Centricity and Meditech EHR systems
• Experience with couplet care

Work Environment & Culture

• Positive attitude, cooperative, and self-initiative encouraged
• Dress code: Scrubs of any color allowed; casual or other facility apparel not acceptable

Location Highlights

• Located on the Cumberland River with access to water activities such as fishing and boating
• Approximately one hour drive from Nashville
