Description
RN- PACU - PREOP
Block scheduling will NOT be offered.
Must float between Pre-Op and PACU
Pre-Op shift 6:00a-4:30p.
PACU shift 8:00a-6:30p.
When working on-call(2-3 weekday nights of call/four week schedule), their working shift will be 11:30a-10p (then on-call shift will be 10:00p-7:00a).
Weekend on call is approximately every 4-5 weeks - Saturday 7:00a thru Monday 7:00a
Charge Capability: Highly Preferred
Scrub Color: Provided by unit
Must work every other major holiday
2+ year(s) of experience in Pre Op/PACU.
Current AHA BLS, ACLS & PALS are required at time of submission
Flu vaccine required during season.
EMR Experience Preferred: EPIC
Unit Specifics:
Pre Op/ PACU rotate
Required Drips & Medications: PACU occasional pressor (neo, etc) support.
Lines of Service: General, GYN, Urology, Plastics, Ortho (TJ, Sports Med, Podiatry, Hands) Vascular (vein ligations, stab phlebectomy, some IR procedures will have IR tech) (ok to approve if it is not their strong suit), Endoscopy also done in OR.
PACU will also recover IR pts that receive anesthesia.
Number of beds: Preop 5 bays and 8 PACU
