Key Responsibilities & Skills

Clinical Procedures: Expertly perform wound care, Wound Vac changes, IV insertions, and indwelling Foley catheter placements.
Equipment Management: Operate and monitor IV pumps, SCD pumps, Kangaroo pumps, Chest Tubes, PCA pumps, BiPaps, and Epidurals.
Critical Thinking: Assess patient conditions rapidly and utilize telemetry data to inform care plans.
Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and provide comprehensive handoffs.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

Experience: Proven Med-Surg experience in a hospital setting.
Certifications: Active Nursing License (Louisiana or Compact), ACLS, and BLS.
Core Competencies: Advanced critical thinking skills and a collaborative "team player" attitude.

Preferred Qualities:

Exceptional Prioritization Skills to manage the 6:1 ratio effectively.
Strong Time Management abilities in a high-acuity environment.
