Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery (Travel)

Location: Mesquite, Texas
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Details

• Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Labor and Delivery
• Shift: Day shift, 6:45 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12 hour shifts)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Scrubs: Navy or Royal Blue
• Charting System: EPIC
• Patient Population: Includes COVID-19 patients
• Experience:

  • Mother and baby experience required
  • Postpartum and vaginal examination experience is a plus

Required Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license for Texas
• BSN degree preferred
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • AWHONN or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
• Must pass specialty, core competencies, and pharmacology exams (minimum 80%)
• Must complete Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam, Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Specialty Exam
• Annual respirator fit test required
• Drug screening: Minimum 10-panel test within 60 days of start
• COVID-19 vaccination: 2 vaccines and booster required or declination completed
• Other immunizations required or proof of immunity:

  • MMR
  • Hepatitis B
  • Influenza vaccine (or declination)
  • TB test within one year of start date
  • Varicella
  • Tdap
• National criminal background check within one year of start date
• Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9)
• Driver’s license, State ID, or Passport required
• Prime agency attestation and SAM/EPLS background checks required
• Two professional references required (one from a manager or direct supervisor)
