Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our pediatric clinical care team. This role focuses on the assessment and treatment of pediatric patients presenting with sensory-based and mild oral motor feeding/eating difficulties. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of sensory diet programs and autism-specific therapeutic interventions within an outpatient setting.

Schedule & Hours

• Shift: 4x10s (Days) | 08:00 – 18:30.
• Days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (Tuesdays Off).
• Team Meetings: One Tuesday per month. (Attendance is optional; hours will be adjusted during the week to accommodate if attending).
• Guaranteed Hours: Hours are guaranteed following the completion of the standard call-off policy.
• On-Call: No on-call requirements. (Note: May be called off based on patient census).

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for pediatric patients with feeding and eating disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing advanced feeding techniques.
• Collaborate with families to establish sensory diet programs and home exercise plans.
• Manage a pediatric caseload with a high prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and sensory processing challenges.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of OT experience; Pediatric Outpatient experience is required.
• Specialized Skills: Proven experience with feeding techniques, sensory diet programs, and treating patients with Autism.
• Licensure: Must hold an active California OT License at the time of submission.
• Certifications: Active NBCOT and BLS (Basic Life Support) are required.
• Travelers: First-time travelers are welcome! (Note: Local candidates are not being accepted for this travel contract).
• Preferred: Prior experience in a Children’s Hospital setting is a plus.

• RTO: Maximum of 6 days Requested Time Off (RTO) will be considered.
