Dialysis RN – Nights – 13 Weeks
Start Date: 03/16/2026 (3/9 start possible if compliance completed by 2/25)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 36 or 48 hours/week
Location: Tuscaloosa, AL
Position Overview
A multi‑campus dialysis program is seeking an experienced Dialysis RN for night‑shift coverage. This role supports both inpatient and outpatient dialysis services, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and bedside treatments. Travelers must be comfortable floating to additional units and hospitals within the system.
Requirements
- 2+ years RN experience
- 1+ recent year of dialysis experience (required)
- Active Alabama or Compact RN license

- No temporary licenses accepted
- AHA BLS (or Red Cross equivalent)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
- Must be willing to float to other units/hospitals
- Every other weekend & holidays required

Dialysis Locations
Regional Campus (4th Floor)
- Hours: Mon–Sat, 6:30–19:00
- Call: Sundays + after hours
- 8 dialysis bays
- Bedside & peritoneal dialysis available
Northport Campus (Main Floor)
- Hours: Mon, Wed, Fri
- Call: Tue, Thu, Sat, Sun + after hours
- 5 dialysis bays
- Bedside & peritoneal dialysis available
Team Structure
- RNs and Certified Dialysis Techs
- Responsible for preparing and performing dialysis treatments across the system
EMR
- Meditech
Typical Responsibilities
- Hemodialysis setup and monitoring
- Peritoneal dialysis
- Bedside dialysis
- Vascular access care
- Patient assessment & monitoring
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Scheduling
- Shift: 7p–7a
- Hours: 36 or 48 per week accepted
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Holidays: As required
- Floating: Required to units and hospitals within system
