Description

RRT – NICU/Peds – Nights – 13 Weeks

Start Date: ASAP  
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Location: Savannah, GA

Position Overview

A high‑acuity NICU/Pediatric Critical Care respiratory team is seeking an experienced RRT for night‑shift coverage. This role requires strong neonatal and pediatric critical care skills, including independent management of ventilated patients and advanced respiratory therapies.

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 1+ year Neonatal ICU or PICU critical care experience (required)
  • Must be able to independently manage vented pediatric patients

Certifications

  • PALS (required)
  • Active RRT license (state‑appropriate)

Skills Required

  • Independent admission and management of vented Peds ICU patients
  • Proficiency with Servo‑U ventilators
  • Setup and management of heliox therapy (invasive & non‑invasive)
  • Non‑invasive ventilation: BiPAP, CPAP
  • Neonatal respiratory skills:
    • Bubble CPAP
    • Nitric oxide
    • High‑frequency ventilation (HFOV, HFJV)

Unit Details

  • Unit: NICU/Peds Respiratory Therapy
  • Equipment:
    • Servo‑U & Dräger VN500
    • F&P Bubble CPAP
    • HFOV & HFJV
    • Vapotherm
    • Heliox therapy
  • Charting: Epic
  • Shift: 12‑hour nights (7p–7a)
  • Floating: Within NICU/Peds RT scope as needed

Patient Population

  • Neonates
  • Infants
  • Pediatric critical care

Dress Code

  • Hunter Green scrubs
