Med Surg/Telemetry RN

Location: Glens Falls, NY

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (03/12/2026 – 06/11/2026)

Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift | 36 Hours Scheduled (24 GWW)

Job Summary

A 410-bed non-profit community hospital and the largest employer in the Adirondack region, is seeking two experienced Med Surg/Telemetry RNs. This 16-bed unit primarily services cardiac patients. The facility is located in a prime recreational area between Saratoga Springs and Lake George, offering a high-quality lifestyle for travelers who enjoy the outdoors.

Key Responsibilities

Cardiac Monitoring: Manage and monitor cardiac rhythms for a 16-bed unit. You must be able to interpret, measure, and document cardiac rhythms twice per shift.
Patient Care: Provide direct care to an adult and geriatric patient population with a 4:1 patient ratio.
Clinical Documentation: Utilize Epic EMR for all charting and documentation (Epic experience is strictly required).
De-escalation: Apply Welle or CPI verbal de-escalation techniques as required by facility policy since January 2024.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: * Minimum 3 years of acute care experience.
- Strong proficiency in Cardiac/Tele or Med-Tele units.
- Epic EMR experience is mandatory.
Licensure: Active New York State RN License (Must be in hand at time of submission).
Certifications: * BLS & ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY).
- Welle or CPI training must be completed for onboarding.
Specialized Skills: Neuro/Stroke experience is highly preferred.
Logistics: Candidate must have their own vehicle; block scheduling is not available.

Unit & Facility Details

Unit Size: 16 Beds (Med Surg - T3).
Ratios: 4:1 (RN to Patient).
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
Dress Code: Any color scrubs (Solid colors only; no designs, cartoons, or hoodies).
Remote Tele: This is a remote telemetry unit; self-sufficiency in rhythm interpretation is critical
