Travel Nursing Opportunity – Oncology RN (Ambulatory)
Join a highly respected oncology team in beautiful Burlington, VT. This ambulatory oncology assignment is ideal for an experienced RN with hematology/oncology or clinic-based experience who thrives in care coordination, triage, and patient advocacy roles.
Position Details:
Start Date: 3/23/2026
Location: Burlington, VT
Schedule: 5x8 Days (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Setting: Ambulatory / Office-Based Oncology
Weekend Requirement: None
Holiday Requirement: None
Floating: Not required
Call: Not required
Key Responsibilities:
Provide triage and clinic-based nursing support for hematology and oncology patients
Coordinate care plans in collaboration with oncologists and interdisciplinary teams
Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy (as applicable) following safety protocols
Monitor lab results and assess treatment response
Manage side effects, symptom control, and patient education
Deliver compassionate emotional support to patients and families
Ensure safe handling of cytotoxic medications and adherence to infection control standards
Document thoroughly in Epic EMR (recent experience required)
Unit Details:
Ambulatory hematology/oncology setting (NOT an infusion-only role)
Focused on triage, care coordination, and outpatient clinical support
EMR: Epic (within the past 2 years – required and nonnegotiable)
No block scheduling
Bi-weekly Monday orientations
Requirements & Qualifications:
Active RN license
BLS certification
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Hematology/Oncology and/or ambulatory experience strongly preferred
Chemotherapy/Biotherapy provider card preferred
OCN certification preferred
Recent Epic experience (within the last 2 years) required
