Stepdown / PCU RN –

Shift: Nights 3x12 (18:45–07:15) – 4x12s optional
Ratio: 1:4
Weekend: Every other
Float: Required within scope (including COVID units)
Block Schedule: Not guaranteed
Charting: Cerner preferred
Scrubs: Any solid color

Minimum 1 year Stepdown/PCU/IMC experience
Travel experience required
Active IL RN License at submission (no pending)
BLS & NIH required (ACLS preferred)
Level I Trauma experience
Must be willing to float

COPD/CHF exacerbation
ETOH withdrawal
Renal failure

Respiratory failure (trach/vent)

Unit Overview

38-bed IMC (Stepdown) – medical, surgical, neuro, trauma.
High-acuity, fast-paced.
Patients may require telemetry, titratable drips, mechanical ventilation, and vasoactive infusions.

First-time travelers not accepted

RTO ideally ≤5 days
