Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive, family-centered care to antepartum, laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients, including support within a Level II Nursery. This role is responsible for delivering expert, individualized nursing care while collaborating closely with providers and interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, prioritization skills, and a commitment to safety, patient advocacy, and exceptional service.
Essential Job Functions
- Oversee daily patient flow to optimize care, safety, and patient satisfaction
- Triage incoming patient requests for services with sound clinical judgment
- Provide patient education to support care plans, informed healthcare decisions, and wellness
- Delegate care appropriately in accordance with Colorado state statutes
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and apply critical thinking skills
- Manage high volumes of patient phone calls related to medications, information, and care needs
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with procedures while adhering to safety protocols
- Coordinate care with physician practices, hospital systems, and external partners as needed
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Deliver relationship-based care that prioritizes safety, communication, and patient preferences
- Model the principles of Just Culture and organizational values
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience required
Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required (for positions hired after 07/01/2018)
Licensure & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado or a valid compact state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) – Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Required
