Cath Lab Radiology Technologist

13-Week Contract | 40 Hours Guaranteed | M–F (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM) + Call

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Radiology Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment. This role provides high-quality, professional patient care through the skilled application of radiologic procedures within the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.

As a primary caregiver, the technologist delivers direct patient care and collaborates closely with physicians, leadership, and interdisciplinary team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

The technologist works under the supervision of the Manager of the Cardiac Cath Lab and must demonstrate strong clinical expertise in invasive cardiovascular procedures.

Schedule

• 13-week contract
• Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 40 hours guaranteed per week
• Call requirements:
  • 45-minute response time
  • One weekend per month
  • Two nights per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting
• Scrub and monitor (including documentation) for multiple Cath Lab modalities
• Assist physicians during:
  • Diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations
  • Emergent procedures (including Impella and IABP cases)
  • Peripheral vascular procedures
  • Electrophysiology (EP) lab procedures
• Accurately document procedures and patient responses
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to all safety standards
• Monitor patient condition during procedures and respond appropriately
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, high-quality care
• Exercise independent clinical judgment within scope of practice while communicating effectively with the care team
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of Cath Lab experience required
• Ohio State Licensure required
• ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of travel experience preferred
• Experience assisting with emergent cardiovascular procedures
• Strong monitoring and documentation skills
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
