Shift will be rotating days between start times of 7a and 11a 12 hour shifts.

Every other weekend

Required call 

-May be asked to precept, as needed by the unit

-First to Float between Bryan and College Station campus (16 minutes apart) as needed

Nurse:Patient Ratios 2:1 and 1:1 treatments

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Common diagnoses/Types of patientsESRD, acute renal failure. Will treat in the acute hemodialysis suite and in the ICU 1:1; Peritoneal dialysis patients

Experience or 'Must have' skills: General ACUTE CARE DIALYSIS nursing competencies; AVF/AVG cannulation, CVC access, recognition and management of hemodialysis complications and emergencies; peritoneal dialysis site care and catheter care; peritoneal dialysis initiation and terminationAre RNs required to titrate dripsHeparinCommon titratable &/or set rate dripsSet rate only: amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, milrinoneAre there tele/monitor techs on this unit Are RNs required to read their own strips What brand are the tele monitorsPatients are on a tele monitor in the acute suite with Monitor tech reading strips. In the ICU they are on bedside and central monitoring
