Description

POSITION: Registered Nurse – Wound Care (CWCN or WOCN)

SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING
================================
• Auto Offer: Yes
• Years of Experience Required: 1 year(s)
• Shift hours: 7.5Hr; 7a-3:30p
• Charting: EPIC experience required
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
• RTO/Block & Scheduling Requests: Priority given to submits with a screenshot confirming RTO and schedule requests. No requests approved after offer.
• Call-off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays, per unit needs
• Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes
• Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: Yes, Locals accepted at the same rate.

REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Active NJ or Compact license is required at time of submission
• Required Certifications: BLS; CWCN or WOCN

REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS
=========================
• Wound treatments/dressings (alginates; autolytic and enzymatic debriding agents; foams; growth factors; hydrocolloids; hydrogels; mechanical debridement; silver products; VAC); Braden scale and adult prevention risk assessment; infection control; isolation precautions; patient/family teaching; wound/ulcer assessment and management including staging I–IV, neuropathic, peripheral arterial, and venous ulcers

• Colostomy/ileostomy care and management; continence skin care management; double barrel stoma; end stoma; ostomy equipment selection

• Continence therapeutic devices (catheter management and self-care teaching; fecal incontinence program; female/male external catheters; urinary incontinence program); identification/management of risk factors impacting skin integrity (cellulitis; edema; pressure ulcer); ABI/peripheral arterial assessments; tunneling; undermining; venous status ulcer assessment/management
