General Certification Requirements: BLS - Other Required certs for all SLP: Must have CCC-SLP. - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Stroke, pneumonia, sepsis, etc. - Acute Inpatient, Acute Rehab, Skilled, Outpatient: Acute Inpatient and Acute Rehab - What areas are they required to cover: ICU, acute tower and rehab unit- will share their time equally between acute inpatient and acute rehab. May float to Jerome Medical Centre about 30 min from here. - Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties: 1+ years experience in acute care, VFSS (video fluoroscopic swallow study) competent. Prefer if travelers have some rehab unit experience, okay with a first time traveler. - EMR: EPIC - Is there a SLP Manager/Supervisor on each shift: Manager - Do you staff Rehab Aides: Rehab aides - Shifts & Scheduling: 4 10's- 0730-1800. Travelers have been working Fri-Mon but may change for vacation coverage. - Weekend Requirements: Traveler covers the weekends. - Holiday Requirements: As needed - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Scrubs permitted, must not match color of other departments. List of colors available upon hire. - How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: Usually 2-3 days in department. Travelers should plan on working M-F 5 8’s to accommodate the onboarding schedule. *
