Neurointerventional Radiologic Technologist

Location: Johnson City, NY

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (03/23/2026 – 06/20/2026)

Shift: 4x10-Hour Days (07:30 – 18:00) | 40 Hours Guaranteed

Schedule: Monday–Friday (4 Days), with mandatory every other weekend on-call.

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Neurointerventional Radiologic Technologist for the Wilson Medical Center campus. This specialized role supports routine and complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the Interventional Radiology (IR) and Neuro-IR services. You will provide critical technical support for advanced procedures including clot retrievals, embolizations, and complex spinal injections, working directly under the direction of the attending physician.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support: Assist with sterile and non-sterile interventional procedures, including extracranial and intracranial angiography, tumor embolization, and clot retrievals for stroke management.
Equipment Operation: Operate advanced imaging equipment (C-arms, angiographic tables) following established protocols for complex neuro-interventional procedures.
Radiation Safety: Adhere strictly to ALARA principles and radiation safety standards for patients, staff, and self.
Clinical Support: Provide clinical assistance during procedural interventions, including discograms, aspirations, and therapeutic injections.
Quality & Inventory: Perform QA checks on equipment, maintain sterile inventory, and review coding procedures to ensure accurate billing for IR services.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Associate’s degree in radiologic technology required.
Licensure: Active New York State license as a Radiologic Technologist is mandatory.
Certifications: * ARRT(R) – Required.
- BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross) – Required.
Experience: Previous experience in Interventional Radiology and Neurointerventional procedures is required.

Unit & Facility Details

Setting: WMC Radiology General Interventional Department.
On-Call Requirement: Mandatory on-call rotation every other weekend.
Location: Johnson City, NY 13790.
