Department: Telemetry | RN License Required: Illinois (IL) RN License required at time of submission Unit Details Beds: 18 Ratios: Days: 1:4–5 Nights: 1:5–6 Charge Nurse: Has patient assignment NSO/House Supervisor: No patient assignment CNAs: 2 (acuity-based staffing) Telemetry: Yes Monitor tech oversees central telemetry RNs sign off on strips Required Certifications BLS ACLS NIHSS Phlebotomy (preferred) Experience Requirements Minimum 2+ years recent experience Post-cath recovery (femoral & radial) highly preferred Stroke care experience highly preferred Must have drip experience Meditech experience a plus Common Diagnoses Stroke CHF ACS CAD Post–heart cath patients Arrhythmias Drip Information RN titration required: No Common drips: Set rate: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine Titrated: Heparin Equipment BiPAP High Flow Oxygen Scheduling 12-hour shifts: Days: 0700–1930 Nights: 1900–0730 Scheduled based on greatest unit need Every other weekend required Holiday rotation required No call for agency staff (core staff required to take call) Floating Required to float to ICU, Med-Surg, or ER (within scope) May care for ER boarders Orientation 2 shifts (12 hours each) Important Note All travelers with previous employment at any FHN Memorial location must disclose this on their resume or within their submission for DNU review.
