    Education
  • Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing

Description

Requirements:

  • Active RN License
  • BLS & PALS
  • Minimum 2 years high-acuity PICU experience (required)
  • Epic experience
  • Strong vasoactive drip titration and invasive line management
  • CRRT experience preferred
  • Competency with advanced critical care equipment

Position Details:

  • Manage high-acuity pediatric patients in a fast-paced PICU environment
  • Typical ratios based on acuity: 1:1, 1:2, or 2:1
  • Common diagnoses: respiratory failure, trauma (including NAT), DKA, seizures, neurosurgical cases, renal failure, transplants (kidney & liver), complex medical and hematologic disorders
  • Manage ventilators (including HFOV), trachs, chest tubes, epidurals, PCAs
  • Care for patients with EVDs, Camino (ICP/temp monitoring), Artic Sun, Belmont Rapid Infuser, EV-1000 Vigileo
  • Titrate vasoactive, sedation, and analgesic drips
  • Perform sterile procedures and bedside support during provider interventions
  • Utilize Alaris & Medfusion pumps; Omnicell medication dispensing
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds with intensivists, residents, and APPs

Patient Population: Neonatal (when floated) through adolescent critical care

Shift: Nights — 6:45 PM–7:15 AM (3x12s) No call required Float: May float to Pediatric CVICU, NICU, Neonatal PCU, or General Pediatrics as needed (competency discussed during interview) Job ID #17898664
