Pros
Working with Jackson Nurse Professionals has been a strategic way to find the right job placement while maintaining flexibility and career growth. My experience with recruiter Derek Mastin has clearly shown the advantages of having a knowledgeable and dedicated advocate throughout the hiring process. Pros Exceptional recruiter support: Derek is highly responsive, transparent, and genuinely invested in his nurses, taking time to understand both career goals and personal preferences to match the right assignments. Smooth communication: He keeps the process organized and stress-free by coordinating interviews, providing timely updates, and making sure all details are clearly explained. Industry knowledge: Derek’s strong understanding of the travel nursing market, facility expectations, and contract nuances helps nurses feel prepared and confident going into each assignment. Professional integrity: He builds trust by honoring his word, following up when promised, and advocating for fair pay, schedules, and placements that truly fit the nurse’s needs. Opportunity and flexibility with Jackson Nurse Professionals: The agency offers a variety of contracts and locations, allowing nurses to choose assignments that align with their lifestyle and financial goals. Cons Variable agency policies: Like many travel nurse agencies, pay packages, benefits, and onboarding timelines can vary by assignment, which can sometimes create confusion without careful review. Limited long-term security: Contract-based work may lead to unexpected changes or early contract endings if facility needs shift, so it helps to stay flexible and in close contact with the recruiter. Occasional administrative delays: Credentialing, start dates, or payroll adjustments can sometimes take longer than expected, though a proactive recruiter can help address these issues more quickly. Overall impression Working through Jackson Nurse Professionals has been a positive experience, especially with recruiter Derek Mastin guiding the process. He consistently demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and a strong commitment to helping nurses find contracts that support both their careers and their personal lives.
