Medical Laboratory Technologist (Lab MT) – Contract

Location: Tahlequah, Oklahoma
Start Date: 03/23/2026
End Date: 06/27/2026
Schedule: 8 hours/day, 5 days/week (40 hours)

Position Summary
The Medical Laboratory Technologist (MT) is responsible for performing complex laboratory testing and analysis on patient specimens to assist in diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention. The MT ensures accuracy, quality control, and compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, and urinalysis
- Analyze specimens and report accurate, timely results
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Ensure quality control procedures are followed
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members
- Document results in the laboratory information system
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
- ASCP or equivalent certification preferred
- Previous hospital laboratory experience required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and quality standards
