MRI Technologist

Department: Radiology Diagnostic
Location: Elmhurst, New York
Start Date: March 23, 2026
Hours: 35 hours per week (7 hours per day)
Shift: 12:00 AM–8:00 AM
Schedule: 5 days per week; alternating weekends and holidays required

Additional Information

• In-person interviews required
• Two-week training period (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM), including EPIC system training
• No on-call requirement

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join a busy acute care radiology department. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, experience in an acute hospital setting, and the ability to work independently during overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment, including GE systems
• Ensure patient safety, screening, and monitoring throughout procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and other required systems
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care
• Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and infection control standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year of MRI experience in an acute care setting
• Experience with GE MRI equipment
• Associate’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Valid New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Radiologic Technologist license
• Current certification and registration in MRI from:
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or
  • American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
