Position Summary

W. W. Hastings Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join the Respiratory Therapy team on a contract basis. The Respiratory Therapist will assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders while working collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care plans.
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and ventilator support.
• Operate and monitor mechanical ventilators and related respiratory equipment.
• Perform diagnostic testing such as arterial blood gases (ABGs), pulmonary function tests, and pulse oximetry.
• Respond to emergency situations including code blue and rapid response calls.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and disease management.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential.
• Current state licensure (as applicable).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required).
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred.
• Minimum 06 months of recent clinical respiratory therapy experience (acute care preferred).

12hr night shifts, 7p-7a
NBRC required
Oklahoma Resp License required
BLS, ACLS, PALS required- AHA
NRP required
Cerner Charting
Min 6 months of experience req. 
Must have peds exp. 
Neonates to adults, acutely ill with a wide variety of medical problems
