Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (LDRP)
Location: Henderson, NC
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 03/23/2026
Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Travel RN for a 13-week contract. This is a 16-bed LDRP unit providing comprehensive obstetric care following AWHONN staffing guidelines. The ideal candidate will have strong L&D experience, comfort with couplet care, and experience working in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Unit Details
- 16-bed Labor & Delivery / LDRP unit
- Patient ratios per AWHONN standards
- EHR: GE Centricity / Paragon
- Weekend requirement: 5–6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- No scheduled call (may flex down based on census)
- Minimal floating (may float to task/secretary role if needed)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
- Manage laboring patients and provide delivery support
- Perform couplet care for mother and newborn
- Follow AWHONN fetal monitoring standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe maternal-newborn outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in GE Centricity/Paragon
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (state or compact eligible)
- Minimum 2 years Labor & Delivery experience
- LDRP experience required
- Couplet care experience
- Some NICU experience
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (must have taken intermediate at minimum; advanced accepted)
- BLS
- NRP
Schedule & Work Expectations
- 12-hour day shifts (7A–7P)
- 36 hours/week guaranteed
- 5–6 weekends per 6-week schedule
- No scheduled call
- Flexing may occur based on unit census

- Comfortable with independent assignments
- Team-oriented and adaptable
- Calm and confident in high-acuity situations
