Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MedSurg Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift contract opportunity. This role offers a consistent 36-hour weekly schedule with no call requirement. Ideal candidates are clinically strong, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced MedSurg environment.

Schedule Details

Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Hours: 36 hours per week
Call: None
Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend (Friday plus Saturday/Sunday)

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult MedSurg patients
Conduct patient assessments and implement individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge planning

Qualifications

Active RN license (state-specific or compact license, as applicable)
Minimum 1–2 years of recent MedSurg experience
Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred if required by facility)
Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
