Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. This role is ideal for a clinically strong nurse who is comfortable managing adult and orthopedic patients requiring cardiac monitoring in an acute care setting.

This is a 13-week contract opportunity with 12-hour shift options.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts
• Day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) and/or Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Holiday coverage required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Med/Surg and telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications and IV therapies
• Care for post-surgical and orthopedic patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document all care accurately in EPIC EMR
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital protocols

Requirements

• Active and current RN license (Hawaii license required)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Experience with adult and orthopedic patient populations

Required Certifications

• BLS (BCLS)
• ACLS

Additional certifications may be required based on specialty experience, including but not limited to:
CPI, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS, STABLE, NRP, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, and other specialty credentials as applicable.

EMR

• EPIC experience preferred
