Job Description

Outpatient Oncology Pharmacist
CLIENT OFFER

***Infusion center experience required. They would consider someone with inpatient experience if they had Oncology experience, but it is not required. ***


Requirements:
- VA state license
- Chemo and RPh required
- Infusion center experience required. They would consider someone with inpatient experience if they had Oncology experience, but it is not required.

Special Requirements/Skills:
Licensure as a pharmacist and in good professional standing in the Commonwealth of Virginia. B.S. Pharm. or Pharm.D, required. Outpatient Care experience required. Pharmacy Residency from an accredited ASHP institution preferred. Intravenous experience & pharmacotherpay management. Previous experience in a computerized hospital pharmacy setting is desirable. Ability to work independently. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Pyxis & Epic skills preferred.

Shift Details:
Start date: ASAP
Shift: Rotating shift: 8am to 4:30pm, Mon - Fri. Time could fluctuate a bit with some start times at 7am.
First-timers accepted: Yes
Weekend REQ: Weekend & holiday rotation - Clinic is usually closed on holidays and weekend
Is on-call REQ? No
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? No
Open to accommodating block schedule? At manager's discretion

Special Equipment:
Hazardous and non-hazardous medications

**Infusion Center
**Will consider Home Health infusion or Inpatient Oncology experience

REQUIRED - Intravenous preparation -
Chemotherapy, IV Piggyback, IV push Medications, Packaging Antineoplastic Agents, and Sterile Technique experience

REQUIRED - Pharmacotherapy Management for Medical Problems -
Gastrointestinal, Hematologic, Immunologic, Neurologic, Oncologic, Rheumatologic experience
