Surgical Technologist – Laramie, WY

Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Rotating
Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years

Position Summary

The Surgical Technologist supports surgical patients during the perioperative phase of care by preparing the operating room, organizing instruments and supplies, and assisting the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures.
• Organize and handle surgical instruments and supplies.
• Utilize surgeon preference cards for accurate case setup.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and assist during procedures.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
• Reinforce patient education as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience required.
• Experience with surgical instrumentation required.
• Previous hospital experience strongly preferred.

Credentials

• BLS required
• CST certification required if a program graduate, or must obtain within 3 months of hire.
