Description

MRI Technologist in Peoria, Illinois

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a contract opportunity in Peoria, IL.

Position Details:

8-hour shifts
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend per month
Holiday Requirement: Possible
No call or standby

Responsibilities:

Perform MRI scans for outpatients, inpatients, and ED patients
Operate GE MRI scanners (1.5T – 450W and 3T – 750W)
Follow MRI safety guidelines
Start IVs as required
Perform standard MRI acquisition sequences

Requirements:

Active Illinois license (or proof application has been initiated)
BLS certification
ARRT (R)(MR) certification required
Experience operating GE MRI equipment
Knowledge of Epic EMR preferred
Must be comfortable starting IVs
Understanding that facility is a Drug-Free Campus (negative drug screen required)

Additional Information:

MRI Tech Assistant support (1 per 8-hour shift)
Scrubs not provided – solid-colored scrubs required
Tattoos must be covered
