Description

Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Pathology Assistant for a hospital pathology department contract role.
Day shift schedule, 40 hours/week with 13-week contract and full guarantee.
Start date 3/23/2026; must have pathology assistant experience and required credentials.

Schedule Info:

Shift: Days (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Hours/Day: 8 (40 hrs weekly guarantee)
Weekend Requirements: None
On Call Requirements: None

Required Experience:

1+ years of current Pathology Assistant experience.
Competent in frozen sections, grossing biopsies, and large complex specimens.

Required Education:

Master’s degree preferred; bachelor’s degree also considered.

Required License:

NY Pathology License (must be in hand at profile upload).

Required Certification:

American Society for Clinical Pathology Board Certification (PA)ASCP (equivalent not accepted).

Other Preferred Qualifications:

Experience overseeing a grossing room workflow.
Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
Must have own vehicle for this need.
