Job Details:
- Schedule: Full-time (37.5 hrs/week)

Role Overview:
As a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of hearing, you will ensure that the educational needs of children and young adults who are deaf or hearing impaired are met, and that they become independent learners and achieve their full potential across all key stages. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out detailed assessments, monitoring, specialist teaching and program planning for deaf pupils
- Monitor and assess the progress of children who are deaf or hearing impaired and to use the information gained to inform planning, advice and practice
- Work to develop teaching strategies, approaches, specialist materials and resources to support deaf pupils
- Regularly plan with school staff and other agencies to advise on specific strategies and specialist equipment for individual pupils
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Teacher License: Initial - Colorado Department of Education or Teacher License: Professional - Colorado Department of Education
- Meets subject, grade level, and/or content area qualifications consistent with Colorado Department of Education
